The Art of Collage

Acquired my first Macbook Pro and despite it being pretty ancient (mid 2010 model), it came with some much needed goodies (PHOTOSHOP CS 2017!!) So I’ve been up to no good making some crazy collages with it, feeling all kinds of inspiration right now. My art spark is back!

Fulltime Artist

Working on this site to make it look more professional, had to quit my day job to focus on something that matters to me the most and while having easy cash was nice, I missed working on my art day in and day out. Recently just got into UTSA to work on my BFA which took me what feels like forever and to be honest, when you turn 30, everything feels short vs when you’re younger. I want to also continue onto getting a masters later on but that one is a different story, hopefully I have what it takes to get into a top liberal arts college like Pratt or School of Art in Chicago.

Learning to Print/Screen Print

Now that Format has opened up a shop service to their artists on this site, it is now time for me to teach myself rather than selling through Society6, Nuvango, etc. They’re too expensive so I will be ordering locally/making my own via a home printer to sell from my home to yours. Gotta spend money to make money!

Heading Into The World Of Professionalism

In the next months, I will be allowing myself to tackle projects so I can launch my art career, I want to try my hand at nearly everything no matter how frightening it may seem since I do not see myself as a professional just yet. It’s so crazy, to finally say I own a more professionalized art portfolio on the internet instead of an art Tumblr. My first art portfolio was more of a personal collective rather than something of an aim to professionalism. It was tacky, distasteful because I had just discovered the concept of online portfolios and was drawn to the platform of showing off your work in a neat setting online but went about it in a really noobish way. Debating on deleting my DeviantArt account as well because of sentimental values, might delete in the coming months as I work on establishing my name in the art world, getting myself out there as much as possible. I want this to be the only art portfolio floating around besides from my Facebook page to posting on Instagram and my personal Facebook profile.

Let me create something unique for you, help me expand this site!

Introduction - Welcome!

Hi and welcome to my new art space on the internet! Here you will find a collection of my work from random doodles to interesting illustrations that have grown to not just be my favorites but also to a few others on the web. So many things inspire me from other artists to everyday people to films and cartoons; everything has a place in my mind when it comes to creating big or small. Hope you enjoy your stay, more to come in the next few months as I navigate this site, expanding it little by little.

STAY TUNED!
